Abstract

Digital cultural heritage in resource-limited environments faces unique challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and funding, necessitating innovative preservation strategies. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with stakeholders and a review of existing policies was employed. The analysis revealed a significant lack of coordination between different government departments responsible for digital preservation efforts. Current policies are fragmented, leading to inefficiencies in resource allocation and duplication of efforts. A more integrated approach is needed to enhance effectiveness. A centralized policy body should be established to oversee digital preservation initiatives, ensuring alignment with national priorities and resources.
