The Political Economy Nexus in Central African Natural Resource Extraction: A Theoretical Framework
Abstract
Central African natural resource extraction is a critical sector for economic development but also fraught with political economy complexities. No empirical data is provided; this article employs conceptual analysis and literature review to develop a comprehensive theoretical model. A robust theoretical framework is established to guide future research on political economy dynamics in natural resource extraction in the region. Policy makers should prioritise transparency and accountability measures to mitigate negative outcomes associated with corruption in resource-rich countries like Morocco.
