Abstract
Translating African literature across cultures is a complex task that requires understanding of linguistic, cultural, and socio-political differences. A comparative study involving interviews with translators, analysis of translation projects, and thematic coding of translated texts. Translators often face difficulties in maintaining the original cultural nuances and emotional depth across languages. Successful translations show that incorporating cultural context can enhance understanding. This study highlights the importance of cultural sensitivity and contextualization in African literature translation for Morocco. Recommendation for translators to include detailed cultural notes and seek input from local experts to improve translation quality.
