Abstract
Decolonization in African art history is a growing field of inquiry that seeks to challenge and redefine traditional narratives. The analysis draws from existing literature and interviews with local scholars to explore new methodologies in African art history. The commentary underscores the importance of decolonizing art histories by integrating local knowledge and perspectives. Chad should prioritise further research into these indigenous themes to enrich its art historical narratives.
