This article explores the role of theatre and performance as social commentators in West African contexts, with a specific focus on Morocco. Not applicable This theoretical framework highlights the multifaceted role of theatre in Morocco's cultural landscape, emphasising its capacity to influence public discourse and advocate for societal change. Further research should include comparative studies on different regions within Morocco as well as international examples to broaden our understanding of this phenomenon.
