Abstract
Visual identities are a critical aspect of youth culture in South Africa, reflecting socio-economic conditions, historical legacies, and cultural diversity. No empirical data will be presented; instead, the analysis will draw from existing literature and theoretical models to construct a comprehensive theoretical framework. Theoretical models will be integrated to highlight the interplay between social structures, historical contexts, and contemporary challenges in South African youth culture. Further research should explore specific case studies within different regions of South Africa to validate theoretical insights.
