Abstract

Urban Shadows in African Literature explores contemporary representations of urban life in Egyptian literature through a theoretical framework. A thematic analysis will be employed to examine selected contemporary Egyptian novels and short stories focusing on urban settings and characters. This theoretical framework provides a lens through which to understand the multifaceted nature of urban life in contemporary Egyptian literature. Future research could explore comparative analyses of urban representations across different African countries or periods.
