Abstract

Afrofuturism is a contemporary cultural movement that explores African identity through futuristic perspectives. A qualitative analysis of existing Afrofuturist works from Africa and South Africa. The analysed works predominantly focus on themes such as technological advancement, environmental sustainability, and socio-political change. Afrofuturism provides a constructive framework for envisioning positive futures in South Africa by addressing existing challenges with innovative solutions. Promote Afrofuturist discourse within academic circles and public forums to foster dialogue on potential African South African futures.
