Historical Foundations of Governance Challenges in Malawi examines the long-term impacts of colonial governance on contemporary African political structures. This comparative analysis employs archival research and secondary data from academic journals and government documents to trace the evolution of governance structures in Malawi since colonial times. A significant theme emerging from the historical examination is the lasting influence of colonial administrative divisions, which continue to impact electoral outcomes and resource distribution today.
