Abstract
Theatre and performance in West Africa have long served as platforms for social commentary, addressing issues such as politics, culture, and societal norms. Theoretical analysis will be employed to review existing literature on theatre and performance within CAR’s context, integrating insights from anthropological studies and local community practices. The theoretical framework elucidates the multifaceted role of theatre and performance in reflecting and influencing social dynamics within CAR’s diverse cultural landscape. Further empirical research should explore how these performances impact audience perceptions and behaviors regarding identified themes.
