Abstract

Community participation in school governance is a critical aspect of education policy in Namibia. A survey research design was employed, involving responses from 200 randomly selected parents and teachers across 50 schools in Namibia. Community involvement significantly improved school performance metrics by up to 30% in terms of student attendance and teacher satisfaction. Communities play a vital role in the success of educational institutions, necessitating more active engagement in governance processes. School boards should incorporate community representatives into decision-making bodies to leverage their knowledge and resources effectively.
