Abstract

Urban arts and humanities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) face unique challenges related to the informal sector dynamics. Qualitative research methods will be employed through literature review and thematic analysis of existing data on urban arts and humanities sectors within DRC. A theoretical framework is proposed that integrates the dynamics of the informal sector with urban arts and humanities in DRC, highlighting their interdependence and potential for sustainable development. Policy makers should consider supporting informal sector artists through funding and infrastructure improvements to enhance cultural diversity and economic stability.
