Abstract
Egyptian libraries and archives play a pivotal role in preserving African intellectual heritage through their policy frameworks. A qualitative approach was employed to review existing literature, including official documents and reports from governmental bodies and international organizations focused on cultural preservation in Egypt. Findings indicate a strong emphasis on digitization initiatives and community engagement programmes as key strategies for preserving African intellectual heritage within Egyptian archives. Current policies highlight the importance of collaboration between government entities, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions to effectively protect and promote African cultural assets. Strengthening partnerships and increasing investment in digital preservation technologies will enhance the capacity of libraries and archives to safeguard African intellectual heritage.
