The Effectiveness of Community Health Worker Training in Diabetes Management within Rural Senegalese Communities

Abstract

Community health workers (CHWs) play a critical role in diabetes management within rural Senegalese communities. A qualitative study involving interviews and observations among CHWs and patients with diabetes. Training programmes significantly enhanced CHW capacity for diabetes management, improving patient outcomes. Further research should focus on long-term impact and scalability of these training initiatives.
