Abstract

This study focuses on traditional birth attendant-dominated regions of Western Kenya where antenatal care quality indicators are used to assess health outcomes for pregnant women. A comprehensive review of existing literature on antenatal care quality indicators and their application in maternal health will be conducted. Theoretical models will be developed to integrate various indicators into a cohesive framework for analysis. A robust theoretical model will be established to guide future research and policy interventions aimed at improving maternal health outcomes in traditional birth attendant-dominated regions. Future studies should test the validity of this framework through empirical analysis. Policy makers are encouraged to adopt evidence-based strategies for enhancing antenatal care quality indicators.
