Abstract

District hospitals in Ghana play a critical role in healthcare delivery, yet their efficiency and effectiveness are subject to scrutiny. The study employs the DiD approach to assess changes in hospital adoption rates over time, comparing pre- and post-intervention periods. Data from multiple districts are analysed for robustness. A notable trend indicates a 15% increase in adoption rates after implementing new healthcare protocols, suggesting improved service delivery. The DiD model effectively highlights the impact of interventions on hospital adoption rates, providing actionable insights for policy-makers and stakeholders. Further research should explore long-term effects and scalability of these findings across different districts to inform broader health system reforms. District hospitals, Ghana, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Adoption rates Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
