Abstract
Agricultural policy transitions in Zimbabwe have been a topic of interest due to their complex interplay with rural livelihood dynamics. Qualitative and quantitative methods were employed, including interviews with farmers and analysis of government agricultural policies and data from national surveys. Agricultural productivity increased by 5% following targeted subsidies for smallholder farmers, as evidenced by a regression analysis (β = 0.05, p < 0.01). Policy reforms aimed at supporting smallholders have shown mixed results in terms of income enhancement. Further policy support should be tailored to specific regions and agricultural sectors to maximise benefits for rural communities. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
