Abstract

Field research stations play a crucial role in agricultural development in Nigeria, providing critical data for policy formulation and resource allocation. A mixed-method approach was employed, including quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Randomized control trials were conducted in two regions representing different environmental conditions. The system showed an average reliability score of 85% across the tested stations, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness. While the overall reliability is satisfactory, specific stations exhibited lower performance metrics under certain weather conditions. Investment in infrastructure to improve drainage systems and data collection equipment is recommended for enhanced system reliability. Field research stations, reliability assessment, randomized field trial, Nigeria The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
