Abstract
African Philosophy in South Africa has a rich tradition that contributes to global ethical debates through its unique perspectives and methodologies. The study employs a thematic analysis approach to review existing literature on African philosophical thought in South Africa, focusing on ethics as the primary focus area. A notable theme within the findings is the emphasis on Ubuntu philosophy's role in fostering community and interdependence, influencing ethical discussions globally. The research underscores the significant contributions of African philosophy to contemporary global ethical debates by highlighting its unique insights into social ethics. Future work should include empirical studies integrating philosophical analysis with practical applications in South Africa’s society and policy-making processes.
