Abstract
The Sahel region of Nigeria is facing significant climate change impacts, posing challenges to human security. A participatory action research approach was employed, involving local stakeholders to gather data on climate resilience and vulnerabilities. Significant correlations were observed between rainfall variability and food insecurity among pastoral communities (r = -0.65, p < 0.01). Climate change exacerbates human security risks in the Sahel, necessitating immediate intervention strategies. Implementing early warning systems for droughts is recommended to enhance resilience of affected populations. Sahel, climate change, human security, participatory action research
