Abstract
Land reform dynamics in East Africa have been influenced by various socio-economic factors, including colonial legacies and recent political changes. The analysis draws on existing literature and expert interviews without presenting new empirical data or methodologies. The insights suggest the potential for a phased approach to rural development in São Tomé and Príncipe, focusing on sustainable land use practices and equitable distribution of resources. Consideration should be given to establishing community-led initiatives to ensure local ownership and participation in the reform process.
