Abstract
Central African states face significant challenges in managing natural resources effectively, leading to uneven development outcomes. A critical review of existing literature and policy documents from Central Africa, with a focus on Ghana’s context. Effective rural development policies should integrate equitable resource governance frameworks to enhance socio-economic resilience. Policy makers should prioritise community participation and long-term planning to mitigate negative impacts of natural resource extraction.
