Abstract
Pan-Africanism is a movement advocating for unity among African nations, with Cameroon being an integral part of this discourse. A qualitative approach was employed to analyse existing literature and policy documents related to Pan-African initiatives in Cameroon. Urban planners in Cameroon have identified a need for greater integration of Pan-African principles into infrastructure projects, particularly in the realm of public transport systems. Pan-Africanism presents both challenges and opportunities for urban development in Cameroon, necessitating a balanced approach that respects historical context and contemporary needs. Urban planning authorities should prioritise inclusive consultation processes when implementing Pan-Africanist initiatives to ensure broad acceptance and sustainability.
