Digital Literacy Pedagogy in Lagos Public Libraries: A Framework for Senior Citizens' Engagement and Usage Studies
Abstract
Digital literacy training programmes for senior citizens in Lagos public libraries have gained attention as a means to bridge the digital divide and promote inclusion in urban planning and transportation. A review of existing literature on digital literacy education, inclusive design principles, and community engagement methodologies will be conducted to inform the theoretical framework. This framework provides a robust structure for future empirical studies on the impact of digital literacy training programmes on senior citizen users in urban public libraries. Future research should focus on developing a standardised curriculum, incorporating user feedback mechanisms, and evaluating long-term impacts to ensure sustainable engagement and usage.
