Youth Employment Programmes and Entrepreneurial Success in Accra: A Two-Year Growth Analysis

Abstract

Youth unemployment remains a significant challenge in Accra, Ghana, where youth employment programmes are increasingly being implemented to promote entrepreneurial success. A qualitative approach was employed with in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and observations at selected youth employment programme sites across Accra. Youth employment programmes in Accra can significantly enhance entrepreneurial outcomes when coupled with targeted support components. Future programmes should prioritise mentorship, financial literacy training, and networking events to further boost participant success rates.
