The Ivorian University Contribution to Academic Knowledge Production and Dissemination: A Comparative Analysis

Abstract
Ivorian universities play a significant role in the academic landscape of Côte d'Ivoire, contributing to the production and dissemination of knowledge across various disciplines, including African Studies. The study employs a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with university faculty and students, along with quantitative analysis of institutional data from selected Ivorian universities. The research design includes thematic content analysis to identify key themes related to knowledge dissemination strategies. A notable finding is the significant increase in publications per capita among Ivorian universities compared to other African countries, indicating a robust academic output within the region. The comparative analysis reveals distinct patterns of knowledge production and dissemination across different Ivorian institutions, influenced by factors such as institutional resources and research priorities. Recommendations include enhancing collaboration between Ivorian universities for more effective knowledge sharing, investing in digital platforms to broaden access to academic outputs, and fostering a culture of open-access publishing.
