Abstract

Guinea’s agricultural sector is vulnerable to climate shocks that disrupt supply chains, affecting food security and economic stability. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilising semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders including farmers, traders, and government officials. Data analysis focuses on thematic content. Findings indicate that while some farmers have adapted by diversifying their crops, others continue to struggle due to limited access to resources and markets. The study underscores the importance of supportive policies for smallholder farmers in enhancing resilience against climate shocks. Policy recommendations include strengthening farmer training programmes and improving market linkages to facilitate smoother supply chain operations.
