The Informal Economy's Contribution to Côte d'Ivoire's GDP in the Decade of 2010

Abstract

Côte d'Ivoire's GDP growth has been influenced by both formal and informal sectors over the past decade. The analysis will employ secondary data sourced from national statistics offices and international financial institutions. A quantitative approach will be used for the statistical analysis of GDP contributions. The informal economy accounted for approximately 45% of Côte d'Ivoire's GDP in , highlighting its significant contribution to the country’s economic landscape. The findings underscore the importance of integrating policies that support and regulate the informal sector to enhance overall economic performance. Government bodies should consider implementing targeted fiscal incentives and regulatory frameworks to foster sustainable growth in the Côte d'Ivoire's informal economy.
