Abstract

The informal economy in Côte d'Ivoire constitutes a significant portion of the country's GDP but is understudied due to data limitations and methodological challenges. Theoretical synthesis and conceptual modelling are employed, leveraging existing economic theories and empirical studies on informality. The theoretical framework provides a robust foundation for future empirical studies on the economic significance of the informal economy in Côte d'Ivoire. Future research should focus on collecting more granular data to enhance accuracy and reliability of GDP contribution estimates.
