The qualitative approach involves thematic analysis to identify common ethical issues. Businesses often face dilemmas regarding the protection of local populations, balancing profit with social responsibility, and navigating complex legal frameworks that are often ambiguous or non-existent in these regions. The findings suggest a need for clearer guidelines on corporate conduct during conflicts to ensure both business operations and ethical standards are upheld. Businesses should develop comprehensive policies addressing the protection of civilians, compliance with international humanitarian law, and engaging with local communities. Governments must establish robust legal frameworks and support mechanisms to facilitate these efforts.
