Abstract

Entrepreneurship ecosystems and innovation hubs are critical for fostering economic growth in emerging economies like Ghana. In East Africa, these structures play a significant role by providing resources, networks, and support to entrepreneurs. The research employs a survey method to gather data from key stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry experts. The sample includes a diverse range of sectors across the country. A notable finding is that while there are several innovation hubs in Ghana’s east region, their effectiveness varies significantly depending on local resources and community engagement. The study concludes that to enhance entrepreneurship ecosystems and innovation hubs’ efficacy, there is a need for better coordination between government policies and private sector initiatives. Recommendations include the development of targeted training programmes for hub managers and increased funding opportunities for innovative projects within these spaces.
