Abstract

Angola's oil and gas sector has experienced significant growth since the early 2000s, driven by substantial foreign investment and increased production. The analysis employs a qualitative approach supplemented with secondary data from official government reports and academic literature. Recent studies indicate that the sector has seen an average annual growth rate of about 12% in the last decade, highlighting the importance of transparent governance practices to maintain this trajectory. While Angola’s oil and gas sector has shown resilience post-, continued improvements in regulatory transparency are essential for sustainable development. Enhanced stakeholder engagement, adoption of international best practices, and establishment of robust oversight mechanisms are recommended to address governance challenges effectively. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
