Abstract

This commentary examines gender dynamics within political power transitions in Senegal over a decade, highlighting how these interactions shape societal structures. No empirical data were collected or analysed; this commentary relies on secondary sources and existing literature for insights into gender dynamics during Senegalese political transitions. The analysis underscores the need for continued efforts to improve gender parity within political structures and ensure equitable representation of all genders. Recommendations include policy initiatives aimed at fostering more inclusive governance systems that consider the needs and contributions of women in leadership roles.
