Abstract
Health systems in Africa often face significant challenges during epidemics, necessitating a robust resilience framework to mitigate impacts and enhance preparedness. The approach will draw from existing literature and expert consultations to construct an analytical model that identifies key components of resilient health systems. The theoretical framework will provide a structured approach for policymakers and practitioners to enhance resilience in future epidemic response efforts. Policymakers are advised to prioritise investment in early warning systems, public education campaigns, and community engagement as foundational elements of health system resilience.
