Compliance Analysis and Sanitation Evaluations of Catering Businesses under Ugandan Food Safety Regulations in Kampala City,

Abstract

This study examines the compliance of catering businesses in Kampala City, Uganda with Ugandan food safety regulations. Catering businesses were assessed based on their adherence to Ugandan Food Safety Regulations, with inspections conducted over a six-month period in Kampala City. A notable finding was that only 45% of inspected businesses met all regulatory standards for food safety and sanitation. The study highlights the need for increased enforcement and education to improve compliance among catering businesses in Uganda. Ugandan authorities should implement stricter monitoring and provide more training to enhance restaurant hygiene practices. Catering, Compliance Analysis, Sanitation, Ugandan Food Safety Regulations
