Enhancing Access to Quality Healthcare Services in Senegalese Rural Residents: A Twelve-Month Health Index Framework Analysis
Abstract
This study examines the challenges in accessing quality healthcare services among Senegalese rural residents, highlighting disparities and identifying gaps that require comprehensive policy interventions. No empirical data will be presented; instead, the analysis will rely on secondary literature review, expert consultations, and a thematic synthesis of existing healthcare policies to construct the theoretical framework. The theoretical framework underscores the necessity of multifaceted approaches including improved infrastructure, community health education programmes, and integrated healthcare service delivery models as key mechanisms for enhancing access to quality healthcare in Senegalese rural areas. Recommendations include a comprehensive policy review, allocation of resources towards rural healthcare facilities, and fostering collaboration between government bodies and local communities to address identified gaps effectively.
