Abstract
Sustainable tourism has become a critical component of Tanzania's economic development strategy, aiming to balance environmental conservation with socio-economic benefits for local communities. The study employs a qualitative content analysis of existing literature on sustainable tourism practices in Tanzania, alongside theoretical frameworks from management science and environmental economics. The theoretical framework identifies the importance of stakeholder collaboration for sustainability and offers guidelines to promote sustainable tourism development across Tanzania. Stakeholders are recommended to adopt a multi-stakeholder approach, integrating environmental conservation with socio-economic development. Policy makers should support initiatives that enhance community engagement in tourism management.
