Abstract

The informal economy in Côte d'Ivoire plays a significant role in the country’s economic landscape, contributing to both employment and GDP. The analysis utilizes secondary data sources from government reports and international organizations to evaluate the size and impact of the informal sector. A notable finding is that the informal economy contributes approximately 40% to Côte d'Ivoire's GDP, highlighting its substantial role in the national economy. The study concludes with a comprehensive understanding of how the informal economy influences economic performance and policy formulation in Côte d'Ivoire. Policy recommendations are proposed to enhance the integration of the informal sector into formal economic structures for sustainable growth.
