Abstract

Benin's informal sector is a significant part of its economy, contributing to employment and poverty reduction in urban areas. No empirical data was collected for this article; instead, a review of existing literature will be used to construct the theoretical model. This framework identifies key drivers such as cultural norms, government policies, and market dynamics influencing the sector's evolution. Policy makers should consider implementing reforms to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and promote inclusive economic development in the informal sector.
