Abstract
Urban Senegal has seen increasing interest in renewable energy solutions to address cooking fuel needs and environmental challenges. The study used a mixed-methods approach including surveys, focus groups, and secondary data analysis to assess the programme's effectiveness. The government subsidy for solar cookstoves has been effective in promoting their adoption among urban Senegalese populations, though challenges remain in wider scale deployment. Expand outreach efforts to include marginalized communities and consider longer-term subsidies or incentives to sustain stove usage over time.
