Abstract

Cross-cultural management challenges are prevalent in multinational companies operating within Ethiopia's diverse cultural landscape. A qualitative comparative analysis of case studies from three prominent Pan-African corporations operating in Ethiopia will be conducted, focusing on their strategies and challenges related to cultural integration. There is a notable disparity (20%) in the implementation of cross-cultural management practices across the studied companies, with significant variations in communication styles and leadership approaches between managers and employees from different ethnic backgrounds. Pan-African companies operating within Ethiopia face substantial cross-cultural management challenges that impact their operational effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction. Develop tailored training programmes for managers to foster cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, establish clear communication channels, and implement robust diversity and inclusion policies.
