Abstract

Cairo's Tahrir Square neighborhood has seen significant youth unemployment in recent years, highlighting the need for innovative interventions to address this issue. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach including surveys, interviews with mentors and mentees, and focus groups to gather comprehensive data. A preliminary analysis indicates that mentoring programmes have significantly improved employment prospects among participants, particularly in skills development areas such as digital literacy and business acumen. Mentoring programmes appear to be effective in enhancing youth employability within Cairo’s Tahrir Square neighborhoods. Future mentoring initiatives should prioritise continuous skill training and career guidance tailored to local employment needs.
