Methodological Evaluation of Community Health Centres Systems in Nigeria: A Randomized Field Trial Analysis

Community health centers (CHCs) play a pivotal role in healthcare delivery across Nigeria, yet their effectiveness and efficiency are subject to scrutiny. A comprehensive search of academic databases was conducted using keywords related to CHC operations in Nigeria. Studies were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria including randomized field trials. Methodological quality assessments were performed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool. Findings from a specific study indicate that implementing a patient-centred care model significantly improved health outcomes by 20% (95% CI: 15-25%). The review highlights inconsistencies in data collection methods and statistical analyses among CHCs, suggesting the need for standardised methodologies. Standardization of data recording practices and adoption of robust statistical models are recommended to enhance the reliability and validity of health outcomes assessments by CHCs. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
