Abstract

This ethnographic study examines the adoption of blockchain technology in Somali trade logistics networks within Central African Republic contexts. Qualitative methods were employed, including participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and archival research. Participants reported a significant increase in trust among traders who used blockchain for record-keeping and transactions, reducing disputes by 40% over the period studied. Blockchain adoption has enhanced transparency and efficiency in Somali trade logistics networks, though challenges remain regarding regulatory acceptance and technological infrastructure. Regulators should facilitate standardization of blockchain protocols to ensure interoperability. Businesses must invest in training for effective integration with existing systems.
