Yield Improvement in Ghanaian Community Health Centres: A Panel Data Assessment of Systemic Efficiency
Abstract
Community health centres in Ghana face challenges in delivering effective healthcare services. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative panel data analysis with qualitative insights to assess the performance of community health centres across different regions in Ghana. Panel data regression models revealed that increasing investment in human resources and infrastructure led to significant improvements in healthcare outcomes, with a coefficient on resource allocation reaching $0.85$ (95% CI: [0.72, 0.98]). The study highlights the importance of targeted investments for enhancing community health centre performance. Policy makers should prioritise human capital development and infrastructure improvements to drive yield improvement in Ghanaian community health centres.
