Abstract
Gender dynamics play a critical role in shaping power structures during political transitions in African contexts. Qualitative data analysis was employed through a triangulation approach involving interviews with key stakeholders, document review of official records, and thematic mapping of political events. A significant finding is that women's participation in decision-making processes increased by 15% compared to the previous decade, although disparities persist across different sectors. The study highlights the need for gender-sensitive policies to enhance inclusivity and ensure equitable representation in governance. Policy makers should develop targeted interventions aimed at promoting women's participation and leadership skills within political institutions.
