Abstract

Afrofuturism is a concept that explores African cultural expressions in futuristic contexts, often highlighting themes of identity, technology, and social justice. No empirical data will be presented; instead, we will employ critical analysis and existing literature reviews to explore how Afrofuturist perspectives can inform predictions about African futures. This theoretical framework underscores the importance of integrating Afrofuturist perspectives into academic discussions about future African societies, particularly in understanding the impact of digital technology on socio-economic development in Ghana. Researchers should incorporate Afrofuturism as a methodological tool to enhance their predictive models and policy recommendations for addressing contemporary challenges and envisioning potential futures.
