Abstract

Early childhood development (ECD) programming in urban slums of Accra, Ghana is crucial for addressing developmental disparities among children and their parents. Parent satisfaction surveys were conducted in urban slums of Accra, employing mixed-methods including quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. The theoretical framework identifies key areas for programme improvement to better align with parent expectations and child developmental needs. Policy makers should prioritise stakeholder engagement and continuous evaluation to ensure the quality of ECD programming in urban slums.
