Abstract

Egypt is a significant hub for AI research and development in Africa, with growing concerns regarding ethical data governance. A comprehensive literature review and expert interviews to analyse existing policies and practices. Egypt needs more robust ethical guidelines for AI development that consider societal impacts and privacy rights. Develop and enforce comprehensive national data ethics codes to align with international standards.
