Abstract

In Senegal, health systems have faced numerous challenges during epidemics, necessitating resilient strategies to mitigate impacts and enhance preparedness. The analysis employs a qualitative approach, examining policy documents, interviews with key stakeholders, and secondary data from the World Health Organisation (WHO). Senegalese health systems have demonstrated notable resilience in response to epidemics by integrating community engagement and flexible resource allocation strategies. Findings underscore the importance of fostering collaborative relationships between government bodies, communities, and healthcare providers for effective epidemic management. Policy recommendations include strengthening community-based surveillance networks and enhancing cross-sectoral collaboration to bolster health system resilience in future outbreaks.
